FAQ

Q. I’ve been under a lot of stress lately, can chiropractic treatments help me cope better?
A. Yes, the spinal cord and brain together govern the central nervous system. If your spine is misaligned that system can’t work at an optimal level and it will be more difficult to manage stress constructively. When your spine is in alignment you will find it easier to manage the stresses that come and go in your life and people often find themselves feeling calmer generally.

Q. I sit at a desk in front of a computer all day, my posture is not good because I am hunching my shoulders all day and I often feel very low for now reason at all, are these things related?
A. Yes they are. A lot of research has been done on this topic with mood and energy levels of people measured by the researchers. The findings are that having good posture has an overall positive impact on your ability for recall and remembering positive things. Posture awareness and training to increase energy and lift mood was the recommendation to come out of that research.

Q. I seem to get sick a lot, my immune system doesn’t seem to work too well. Would seeing a chiropractor help me?
A. Chiropractic treatments can certainly help boost your immune system. The immune system works in collaboration with the nervous system and a study has been conducted into this topic by Patricia Brennan Ph.D. What they found was that after a chiropractic adjustment on the middle back, white blood cell response 15 minutes after the adjustment was much higher than it had been in the blood taken before the adjustment. The study showed an improved respiratory burst after the treatment, those bursts are necessary for immune cells to kill off viruses and bacteria.
